Toyota Financial Services knows that a college education is extremely important for most people's success in today's world. That's why the company has been providing deserving students with college scholarships since 2007. Recently, Toyota decided to give back to the community even more by expanding its "Making Life Easier" scholarship program for the 2013 year. This program provides financial aid to underserved students at organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of America, 1736 Family Crisis Center, Community's Child, Los Angeles Team Mentoring, North High School, and All Peoples Community Center.
These scholarships provide up to $20,000 to each disadvantaged child/teen to help them reach their educational goals. The award is applicable toward college, university, vocational, or trade school tuition and fees and is given to students who have proven themselves to be role models through community involvement and impressive academic achievements.
President and CEO of Toyota Financial Services, George Borst, states, "Toyota Financial Services is building on six years of success and expanding our Making Life Easier scholarship program will enable us to reach thousands of kids on a national level. We are committed to helping improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work, and through our partnerships with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and other non-profits we are able to engage with really inspirational and courageous students and become a part of their lives."1
